What to do when you dont have the sample product and potential suppliers are asking for samples? Simple you make the 3-D and then supply them with the dimensional drwaings and this should take care of the situation. Besides the work of the supplier will be easy.

This is a cast of single phase capacitor start induction motor. Material is aluminum, application in Industrial Exhaust Fans.

This picture is showing the one half cast as you can see the hole for Shaft. The other half doesnot have the opening for shaft instead it has our label. But this design isnt efficient as it is not symmetric about the axis and a proportional amount of space and weight of capacitor w/ connector is responsible for it. The improved design doesnot has capacitor attached to the side its on that other half of this cast attached witht the logo and spec.

Just do it!!

This a design of one of the downlight that my company manufactures. But obviously some of the components has been removed so that it looks pretty much common. So if you are using it you will need to add the details for the fastners , lamp holders, cable entry and diffuser.

Legends:
Red -> Control gear case-
White-> Bracket to hold the diffuser and reflector
Green-> Base plate
Glolden -> Bracket for Diffuser.

So one still needs to find out the size of clips/spring that will be connected to 'White' on the sides to support the 'Golden'. Now these vary depending upon the requirement. Base plate is optional, in most of the designs, the 'Red' houses the control gear is sufficient and there is no need to provide a joint to red and white. This design for downlight is needed for special kind of false ceilings.

Alls well that ends well.
This one I  had to code as the quantity of motors for testing were large and working with calculator will take eternity. Input parameters can be found from the motor rating plate and speed form tachomter. In some cases you may need find our  power factor separately.

So you feed in the data randomly, as this is quite carelessly simple application. You just need to provide all the inputs and make sure that they are correct. Here is the screen shot:

So heres what you have to do
Step1:  Type in Volts, Current, PF, Freq, hit 'Electrical Power I/P'
Step2:  Type No. of Poles, Speed of Motor then hit 'Slip'
Step3:  Type in the Mass of Blade, Dia of Blade, Speed of Motor, then '<== Get Data'
Step4:  Hit the 'Force' button then 'Torque' then 'Mechanical Power O/P'
Step5:  Hit 'Efficiency'

As you proceed by hitting the buttons you get the required data on the blue space. Well this work was not acclaimed as Matlab takes a lot of disk space and some coding. I prefer that you uses Excel as it would be  easier and no need to use 'MCR' for distribution purposes.

Have a Good day!!

The main purpose of launching this blogspot is to showcase my skills to employers. Here I post all my works which are not confidential to my organisation, some of it is purely imaginary and some of them are out of my field of study. The description about the 'works' which I have posted is short so that people can read through it and get the idea quickly of what its all about. So for those who need more info regarding my post can reach me at shoeb.elc@gmail.com.

Good Lick!
